Moor Hall is a beautiful country house-style hotel set at the end of a long tree-lined drive. It boasts sweeping lawns, natural woodlands and historic sunken garden provide picturesque backdrops to wedding photographs. The sunken garden is a magical historical setting with it sweeping double stone staircase, stunning fountain centrepiece and Victorian grottos – you can tie the knot al fresco here with 180 loved ones. The house was once owned by Bishop Vesey who entertained Henry VIII at the property. The current building was built in the 1900s by Colonel Ansell for his private residence and the wood carvings, stonework and stained-glass windows can be seen today – perfect for history buffs looking to tie the knot here! The beautiful oak panelling and open fires lend Moor Hall a real country house atmosphere for nuptials; couples can opt to tie the knot in the Charter Suite or Bracebridge Suite. The Charter Suite is an elegant and spacious ground-floor room with its own direct entrance from the car park, separate bar and surrounding conservatory overlooking the gardens. It can cater for up to 180 ceremony and wedding breakfast guests (250 in the evening) and has a neutral gold, cream and grey palette, a stylish bar, luxurious contemporary lighting and furnishings make a fabulous setting. The Bracebridge Room is upon the first floor and caters for up to 60 and overlooks the stunning surrounding parkland.
