Autumn is one of my favourite seasons, and for good reason! There’s something so refreshing about the end of summer, as the sweltering heat gives way to a more temperate climate. The air becomes crisp and invigorating, and I can’t help but get excited knowing that Christmas is just around the corner, bringing a sense of joy and festivity. Fall offers a variety of seasonal themes and décor options for weddings! To reflect the fall foliage, choose a seasonal colour palette with deep hues like burgundy, mustard yellow, burnt orange and forest green. Incorporate gold, copper or bronze for a touch of elegance and warmth.
For indoor celebrations, look for rustic barns, cosy lodges or elegant ballrooms that can be decorated with seasonal elements. Use string lights, lanterns or candles to create a warm and inviting ambience as the sun sets. Use flowers in season, such as dahlias, chrysanthemums, sunflowers and roses in autumn colours. Incorporate seasonal foliage like eucalyptus, maple leaves or branches for a natural touch. The abundance of seasonal produce also allows for creative catering, with delicious options like pumpkin spice desserts and hearty comfort foods that reflect the season. Create fall inspired drinks, like spiced apple cider, pumpkin spice lattes or cocktails with cinnamon and nutmeg.
No need to worry if you’re organising your special day in a different season; this edition is brimming with diverse creative ideas and inspiration for weddings that can be beautifully tailored to any time of year. Whether you’re dreaming of a vibrant spring celebration filled with blooming flowers, a sun soaked summer gathering outdoors, a cosy autumn affair or a magical winter wonderland complete with twinkling lights, we’ve got you covered. Our comprehensive issue offers tips, themes and unique touches to help you craft a memorable wedding experience, regardless of the season.
So, pull up a chair, grab a cuppa and get reading!
