Broadfield
Broadfield is an elegant yet relaxed setting, boasting heritage and modernity. The bedrooms have luxurious beds and antique furniture, the sofas are grand yet comfy and many rooms have wood panelling, stucco ceilings, and beautiful fireplaces. Parts of Broadfield date back to the 13th Century, seen in the mixture of stone and brick.
The building boasts a south-facing orientation, offering stunning views from both the bedrooms and main reception areas. At the front, guests will find charming stone courtyards, while the back reveals expansive gardens. Broadfield is nestled within five acres of beautifully landscaped gardens, complemented by an additional 22 acres that feature a delightful rose garden, sun-drenched lawns, an orchard, woodlands, and an impressive kitchen garden. The fold yard is a picturesque walled courtyard adorned with an Italianate loggia. The gardens and vistas are truly remarkable, and the house harmoniously blends historic charm with modern amenities. The bridal suite is particularly inviting, showcasing wood-paneled bedrooms, a luxurious bathroom with a spacious waterfall shower, and a generous dressing room ideal for wedding preparations. The highlight is that Broadfield can be exclusively reserved for two nights or more, allowing couples to extend wedding celebrations.
Inside the centre of the building is the inner hall, with ceremony space for up to 50 people. The wood-panelled dining room can seat 60, and then the unique hexagonal marquee in the fold yard can seat up to 150, as just a canopy on hot days or closed in for chillier seasons. Outdoors, ceremonies can take place in the woodland, the orchard, on the lawn, in the rose garden, or for more intimate ceremonies, the wildflower garden is wonderful in summer.
For less than 50 guests, the dining room is ideal for the wedding breakfast with dancing in the bar, for up to 90, the fold yard is the perfect space, or hire a tipi or marquee to dine and dance with more people, situated at the top of the glorious south-facing lawns, overlooking the views of the Herefordshire countryside. With the atmospheric bar and firepits dotted around, the house, gardens and structure blend perfectly to create a reception space for those seeking a relaxed, flexible space.
All bedrooms at Broadfield are included in the hire, and couples can stay longer than two nights if they wish. They can even organise as many planning visits, receive complimentary bottles of wine to take away and taste, as well as invitations to open days.
